Donald Trump has announced the release of what he described as the first tranche of government files relating to UFOs, extraterrestrial life and unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs).
In a public statement, Trump said the documents and videos were being made available as part of an effort to promote “complete and maximum transparency” on a subject that has long attracted public speculation and debate.
According to him, the release includes government records linked to “Alien and Extraterrestrial Life, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, and Unidentified Flying Objects.”
Trump criticised previous administrations for what he described as a lack of openness on the issue.

The statement did not provide details on the scope of the released materials or whether additional disclosures are expected in the future.
