Newly appointed Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has expressed confidence in delivering success for Ghana, stressing that unity and collective support will be key to his mission.
Speaking at his unveiling in Accra on Thursday, the experienced tactician said collaboration across all levels of the football ecosystem would be critical.
“I trust, and I believe that, with the support of my staff, the support of the Board, support of the press, support of the friends and the fans… we can bring success.” - Carlos Queiroz
Queiroz highlighted the importance of national cohesion, urging stakeholders to rally behind the team as one unit.
“Ultimately, one Ghana, united with cohesion with the whole of the nation, I believe we can do it. Let us do it together,” he added, reinforcing his vision of a collective push toward success.
Wealth of Experience
The Portuguese coach brings significant international experience to the role, having previously managed top sides including Real Madrid and Manchester United, as well as national teams such as Portugal and Iran.
His World Cup pedigree includes leading South Africa to qualification in 2002 and guiding Portugal and Iran through multiple tournaments.
Appointed by the Ghana Football Association, Queiroz will lead Ghana into the 2026 FIFA World Cup scheduled to take place in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
With preparations already underway, the coach is expected to leverage his experience to strengthen the squad and position the Black Stars for a competitive campaign on the global stage.
