Graduates of Generation Ghana Cohort 17 have been urged to begin their professional journey by telling their story and showing how their experiences have shaped their skills.
Cherubim Mawuli Amenyedor gave the advice during the final capstone session of the digital marketing programme, which ended on Friday, September 4, 2026.
“The key thing I want you to hear from me is this: Always start with your story,” Amenyedor told the graduates.
He said personal stories help people understand not only where professionals are coming from, but also the experiences and decisions that have shaped their careers. “Your story matters. Start there,” he added.
From blogging to digital transformation
Amenyedor said his interest in digital work began about 13 to 14 years ago through blogging.
His curiosity deepened at university, where he noticed that many students had little guidance on how to generate real time traffic, manage social media platforms or use digital tools to support businesses.
He eventually realised that those skills could become a source of income.
Although he studied Ceramics, a field his parents expected would lead him into an industrial or technical career, Amenyedor found his way into digital marketing after graduation.
“That became the beginning of my career in this space,” he said.
Around 2020, he began shifting his focus towards digital transformation, marking another stage in his professional development.
He encouraged the graduates to recognise the value in their own experiences and use their stories as a foundation for building credible careers in the digital economy.
