MultiChoice Ghana has introduced four new DStv Ghana packages with monthly subscription prices ranging from GH¢50 to GH¢570, giving customers new options for entertainment, television channels and football coverage.
The packages were announced on Monday, October 26, at a joint press briefing by MultiChoice Ghana and the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovation.
Country Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Ghana, Alex Okyere, said the packages will take effect from November 5 and are structured around different budgets and viewing preferences.
Starter and Select Target Lower Budgets
The new Starter Pack will cost GH¢50 per month and give subscribers access to 90 channels.
Customers looking for a broader selection can move to the Select Pack at GH¢100 monthly. That package provides 123 channels.
The two lower-priced options are intended to give subscribers access to general television content without moving into the higher-cost sports and premium categories.
Sports Pack Costs GH¢250
Football viewers will have a separate Sports Pack priced at GH¢250 per month.
MultiChoice said the package combines football coverage with content available through the Starter and Select offerings, making it a more specialised option for sports audiences.
The Ultimate Pack sits at the top of the new structure at GH¢570 monthly.
It combines premium entertainment with broader sports coverage and is the most expensive of the four new packages.
The company said the revised structure was designed to give customers more choice rather than placing all subscribers under a limited number of broad subscription tiers.
The November 5 rollout means customers will be able to choose between a basic 90-channel option, a wider general entertainment package, a football-focused package and a premium bundle combining entertainment and sports.
