Ghana has mounted a strong presence at ITB Berlin 2026, with the Ghana Tourism Authority leading a vibrant national pavilion that blends cultural diplomacy with investment promotion.
The West African nation is using the global travel trade fair to spotlight its rich cultural heritage, diverse tourism destinations and expanding investment prospects.
The pavilion, curated by the Ghana Tourism Authority, features traditional arts and crafts, immersive multimedia showcases and popular Ghanaian cuisine, drawing significant interest from international visitors.
March 5 has been designated as Ghana Day at the exhibition, providing a dedicated platform to promote Ghanaian languages, Kente, festivals and business opportunities to the global tourism community.
The event is expected to deepen engagement with travel operators, investors and destination marketers from across Europe and beyond.
Strengthening Trade and Diaspora Links

Seven private sector exhibitors have joined government officials at the stand, reflecting a coordinated effort to expand market access and attract investment across hospitality, heritage tourism, ecotourism and the creative arts sectors.
Ahead of the official opening of ITB Berlin 2026, the Ghanaian delegation engaged young Ghanaian investors based in Germany.
The meeting, organised in collaboration with Afrika-Verein and the Embassy of Ghana, Berlin, focused on strengthening diaspora investment linkages and highlighting opportunities along Ghana’s tourism value chain.
Officials say the engagement underscores Ghana’s broader strategy to leverage cultural assets and diaspora networks to drive sustainable economic growth.
Ghana’s coordinated participation at ITB Berlin 2026 reinforces its ambition to position itself as the Gateway to Africa — a destination not only for leisure travel, but also for global investment and strategic partnerships in tourism and the creative economy.
