The Minister visited the Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel, FPSO John Evans Atta Mills, as well as the Noble Venturer rig operations vessel operating offshore.
According to Dr Jinapor, the visit offered an important opportunity to engage directly with technical teams and industry partners working to sustain and increase oil and gas production levels.
TEN Fields remain strategic asset
The Energy Minister described the TEN Fields as one of Ghana’s most strategic offshore assets, noting that the project continues to play a vital role in supporting the country’s energy security and economic development.
“The TEN Fields remain one of Ghana’s most strategic offshore assets,” he stated, adding that gas produced from the fields contributes significantly to stable electricity generation across the country.
He explained that reliable gas supply from the offshore operations supports industries, businesses and households by helping to maintain steady power generation.
Focus on safety and operational excellence
Dr Jinapor praised the professionalism and dedication of the workforce and operational partners on site, saying he was impressed by the strong culture of discipline and safety adherence demonstrated by the teams.
“I was particularly impressed by the professionalism, dedication, and commitment demonstrated by the workforce and partners on site,” he noted.
According to the Minister, the FPSO and rig teams continue to maintain high safety standards within the industry, reflecting operational excellence and environmental responsibility.

The Minister encouraged stakeholders in the petroleum sector to remain innovative and collaborative in efforts to maximise value from Ghana’s natural resources.
He also assured investors and operational partners of government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment that supports sustained investment and improved oil production.
Dr Jinapor said the government remains focused on ensuring that Ghana derives maximum economic benefit from its petroleum resources while strengthening long-term energy security.
