News Black Stars Coach to Address Media Ahead of World Cup as Black Stars Coach

Newly appointed Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz is set to address the media on Thursday, April 23, 2026, as he begins preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

The press conference will take place at the Alisa Hotel at 1:00 pm, bringing together journalists and stakeholders for the coach’s first official interaction since his appointment last week.

Queiroz is expected to use the platform to outline his technical philosophy and strategic direction for the national team. The engagement will also allow him to respond to questions from the media as Ghana intensifies preparations for the global tournament.

The event will serve as a formal introduction of the experienced Portuguese trainer to the Ghanaian public, while helping to align expectations among the technical team, supporters, and the media.

Ghana will be making its fifth appearance at the Mundial and faces a challenging group stage. The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L alongside England national football team, Croatia national football team, and Panama national football team.

With the tournament set to be hosted across Canada, Mexico, and the United States, Queiroz’s early engagement is seen as a critical step in shaping Ghana’s campaign and building momentum ahead of the competition.
