Dennis Miracles Aboagye Denies GH¢55 million EOCO Claims

Dennis Miracles Aboagye has dismissed reports linking his recent detention by the Economic and Organised Crime Office to an alleged GH¢55 million matter, insisting no such issue was ever discussed with him during his time in custody.

In a statement issued after his release, the New Patriotic Party communications strategist said speculation surrounding the case was false and maintained that the circumstances of his arrest had been misrepresented.

"I am out. I am unbroken. And I am more ready than ever," Aboagye declared, thanking party supporters who rallied behind him while he remained in detention.

Denies GH¢55 million allegations

Aboagye said claims suggesting EOCO questioned him over GH¢55 million were entirely inaccurate.

"For the records: There was no discussion of any GH¢55 million cedis with me by EOCO. None," he stated, repeating the denial for emphasis.

According to him, he was detained four days after announcing his intention to contest for the position of National Communications Director of the NPP.

He argued that the timing of the arrest fuelled public speculation but expressed confidence that "the facts and the truth will prevail."

Vows to continue NPP campaign

The aspiring communications chief insisted the experience had strengthened rather than weakened his resolve.

"If the intention was to break me, it has failed. If the intention was to scare me, it has failed spectacularly," he said, adding that he remained determined to lead the party's Communications Directorate and "command the narrative."

Aboagye also expressed gratitude to his legal team, the NPP leadership and supporters who protested during his detention.

Describing the support as a source of strength, he said the episode had become a shared cause rather than a personal battle.

"This journey is no longer mine alone. It is ours. We move. Stronger. Louder. Together," he said.

EOCO has not publicly responded to Aboagye's claims regarding the circumstances of his detention or his assertion that no questions were asked about any alleged GH¢55 million matter.
